Virtual Information Sessions
Information sessions are a great way to learn more about course planning and Programs of Choice – including language programs such as French Immersion and Career Education options – as well as elective classes for high school students. Registration
Register in February (in advance of the next school year) if your student:
- is starting Kindergarten next Fall
- will be new (all grades) to the District next Fall
Apply in February (in advance of the next school year) to be considered for priority placement for next Fall if your student:
- would like to apply to French Immersion, Mandarin Language Arts or any of the other Secondary and Elementary Programs of Choice
- wants to attend another school other than their home school (cross-district transfer)

Programs of Choice allow students to explore their interests, support their strengths or get exposed to a career. The Burnaby School District offers dozens of options, with many at the secondary level put on in partnership with higher education institutions or industry.
