It’s time for students to make plans for the 2021-22 school year. There are many resources available to help them and their families consider the options.
Registration is in February for priority placement in most Programs of Choice for the next school year.
Virtual Information Sessions
Virtual information sessions are a great way to learn more about electives and Programs of Choice.
Secondary sessions begin on January 14, with an information evening put on by Career Education about programs led by their department. Each high school is also preparing its own virtual session or informational video to share information about opportunities at their school.
Information about Elementary Programs of Choice language options for the Fall is also being shared virtually this year, due to the pandemic. You can learn about the programs, including registration information for the 2021-22 school year, by clicking on the following links:
Programs of Choice
Programs of Choice allow students to explore their interests, support their strengths or get exposed to a career. The Burnaby School District offers dozens of options, with many at the secondary level put on in partnership with higher education institutions or industry. For most programs, registration takes place in February for the following school year.
