Burnaby School District will be participating in the Vancouver Pride Parade again this summer.
The parade starts at noon on Sunday, August 4 on Robson Street (at Thurlow) and will wind its way along Robson Street, up Denman Street and along Beach Avenue before ending at Sunset Beach. Staff, students, and families are invited to participate by either walking with the Burnaby School District
float or cheering us along the parade route.
Parade participants will need to arrive before noon at the staging area on Alberni Street, between Thurlow and Burrard Streets. The district float will be located in D N 2 (Zone D, North side of the street, slot number 2).
Plan for hot weather – be sure to bring a hat, water, and sunscreen.
Burnaby’s Pride Street Party is happening Saturday, August 10 from noon to 4pm on the block of Jubilee Avenue between Imperial Street and Nelson Avenue.
The event will include community partners, local artists and performers, and an “epic” street party. Come visit us at the Burnaby Schools table.
