This year is the 40th Anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope! Our school event will look a little different this year and that’s okay – we will take inspiration from the way Terry rose above the many challenges that met him on the Marathon of Hope.
We will be sad not to have you there to cheer us on, but some encouraging words before school will go a long way for your child. The run time for each group will be significantly shorter (30 minutes maximum) to allow for each learning group to have separate walk/run times.
In addition to the run itself, classes will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope through in class challenges, reading, talking and learning about Terry Fox.
The Marathon of Hope has been the success Terry hoped it would be (and more) in raising funds for Cancer Research.
