UHE is proud to partner with Simon Fraser University to join their Zero Waste Initiative that has diverted over 70% of the Institution’s landfill waste within the first year of its launch. With support of the Burnaby School District, we are also able to add an additional stream to this system for return of refundable items. Please look for stations across the school to recycle:
- Food Scraps and Compostables
- Mixed Paper
- Hard Plastics
- Refundable Containers
- Landfill/Garbage
We would like extend a huge appreciation to our Green Team for their efforts to launch our new sustainability program and to Ms. Carley and Ms. Yee for their leadership.
